Poland is by some considered as a mystic vast country, with rolling hills, the marvelous mountains (‘The Carpathians’) in the south and the beautiful coastline. During this tour you will meet the friendliness of the Polish people, learn about the stunning history of Poland and enjoy the incredible Polish landscape traveling by train from the northwest to the southeast of the country and back. Passing by the towns and villages between (the former German city of) Szczecin, which had once the second biggest port in Poland, and the historical Krakow, one of the major cities of Poland, you will dive into Poland’s brave and memorable past!

We will definitely go into the mountains, visit a cave, see waterfalls and enjoy lunch in the Carpathians. In Krakow and Szczecin you will learn about the heroic role of Poland during the Second World War as well as how the borders of Poland shifted in an amazing way westwards as a result of the World Wars. One of the cities you will visit during this tour (Szczecin) was even German before! You can see this back in the architecture.

The last day of the tour you will finish this journey through the ages and cultures in Berlin, the capital of Germany. Known for its laid-back, easy-going life, this city also offers you many reminders of both the Second World War and the Cold War. From 1939-1945 Berlin was a central point of command for the nazi’s, in the later days of the War it was totally destroyed. We will pass by the place where once stood the bunker where Hitler committed suicide during the last days of what was maybe the worst war mankind has ever known. The Brandenburger Gate and the thrilling promenade ‘Unter den Linden’ which connects the former West and East Berlin, are symbols of the reunification of the former West and East Germany.
